Stoudemire tears iris after being poked in eye (USA Today)
Training camp in Tucson and Amar Stoudemire's health just don't mix. Stoudemire's ankle was well enough to play in a Wednesday night scrimmage, but he was poked in the right eye by Boris Diaw and missed Thursday's practices because of a torn iris. He also will sit out Friday's public scrimmage.

Amare Stoudemire has not had much luck with training camps. The Suns' All-Star underwent microfracture surgery on his left knee prior to the 2005 camp, missed most of the team's 2006 camp in Italy with pain as he began his comeback, and missed the entire 2007 camp following an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee.
